10th Annual NYS Shoot for a Cure

This is a morning shotgun start (9 a.m.) followed by a luncheon. While it is the 10th Annual NYS Shoot for a Cure event, it is the 6th held at CSC. Last year, we raised over $11,000 for cancer research! The proceeds from this Shoot for a Cure event directly support the funding of blood cancer research at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Blood cancers don’t discriminate – the entire population is affected. Several of the LLS funded projects are at the University of Rochester.
In cooperation with Shoot for a Cure and a number of national sponsors such as Fiocchi Ammunition, Browning, Beretta, Remington, Buck Knives, and Wild Wings, this event features some excellent gun and general raffle prizes. A free T-shirt and custom buck knife are included for all paid pre-registrations. Download the pre-registration form to register and reserve a spot. We have several sponsor opportunities – underwriting the cost of prizes, sponsoring a squad of shooters, sponsoring a station – all come with various forms of recognition. This will be a FUN event. Whether you’re a novice or experienced shooter, plan to come and support the charity. Consider sponsoring a team.
While this is a fun shoot, it is an NSCA registered event and punches will be awarded. Hopefully you can participate by shooting in the event. However, if you don’t want to shoot, you can help by making a donation (cash or check). As always, we can always use volunteers to help with registration, distributing ammo, selling raffle tickets, serving food, and clean-up.
Contact Dave Hughes at 585-402-4604 or at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, or if you wish to donate/help.
Shoot for a Cure is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has raised $4.5 million since 2003. They held 20 events across the country in 2018.
